Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE)

Contact CARE for immediate, confidential, and supportive crisis intervention and advocacy for sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. 

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Case Management

Case managers are the path-clearers and problem-solvers for students dealing with stressful crises. Staff, faculty, and parents can consult with a case manager regarding students of concern.

Critical Student Incident (CSI) Team

The CSI Team is a multi-department team that works with staff and faculty concerned about students who may be a threat to themselves or others. The team provides action and support to address the needs of students who are distressed, while assuring a safe and secure campus for the entire UCR community. The CSI Team is coordinated by the director of Student Affairs Case Management.

Dean of Students Office

If you or another student is struggling with any type of problem, whether it be with family, friends, faculty, physical health, mental health, or navigating the university system, the Dean of Students office works with a team of resources on campus to assist you.

Off-Campus Resources

Riverside County Coalition for Alternatives to Domestic Violence

Contact the organization to access services for victims of domestic violence, including a 24-hour crisis line, emergency and transitional housing, outreach services, and individual and group counseling.

Riverside University Health System

Go to the center for emergency medical services. The center is also a local Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART) facility, providing medical exams, advocacy, and support services to survivors of sexual violence.

Poison Control

Call Poison Control for free, 24-hour telephone guidance for poison emergencies from certified specialists in poison information, with back-up by board-certified physician toxicologists.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline for free and confidential emotional support if you or a friend is in suicidal crisis or dealing with emotional distress.

Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center

Contact the center for free, confidential services for rape survivors, their friends and families ages 12 or older, including counseling and medical accompaniment
